PWS a Kuwait-based contractor specialized in the construction, operation and maintenance of sewage treatment plants, sewer networks and pumping stations.
Under the Subcontract Agreement between UDC and PWS executed on 01 March 2026, PWS currently acts as the Operations & Maintenance Contractor for UDC, responsible for the operation and maintenance of the Sulaibiya Wastewater Treatment and Reclamation Plant until the expiry of the Concession Period on 30 June 2032, or such later date as may be extended in accordance with the concession terms.
The Scope of Work covers the full operation of the Ardiya and Sulaibiya plant facilities, including all interconnecting pipelines. It includes the operation and maintenance of pumping stations, biological wastewater treatment systems, and treated water reclamation facilities incorporating Ultra Filtration and Reverse Osmosis. The contractor is responsible for all daily, routine, planned, preventive, minor, and major maintenance of the entire facility, plant, and equipment. The scope also includes operation and maintenance of SCADA systems, anaerobic sludge treatment, radio communication systems, and pipeline control systems. In addition, it covers comprehensive civil, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, controls, pipeline, and facility management maintenance activities across both locations.
